so last week, miss jessica ward came to hk:)
Lisa and I took her to pacific place, through hk park (jess on an old woman flicking her leg out and another half attempting tai chi - 'people do really strange exercises here' HAHA), the peak ('the buildings all look like lego from here'), tst..
one evening went to sheraton sky lounge (ho leng ah) for cocktails & to show her the 8pm laser show..where we were served by this young super-enthusiastic waiter who couldn't believe lis and i lived in hk and so couldn't stop chatting to us all night, trying to persuade us to come to this 'secret' [ as in you get invites from cryptic or smth] party @ lantau on sat night even tho lis would be in fiji by then and vurr and i were having our bday party, didnt seem to deter him! however, his friendliness did come in handy when it turned out we had to pay a min. $118 per person or smth and so he covered us. haha as soon as we came out of the sheraton this mainland chinese guy started talking to jess [haha spot the tourist lol] to which jess put on a new york accent haha. then just as he walked away, this really drunk indian guy [v hard to decipher what he was saying, couldn't walk straight] came up to jess haha and was trying to talk to her..haha it was hilarious though, couldn't stop laughing...then he walked into chungking. need i say more? ... haha how lis and i can live in hk for years and never have that and then poor jess comes and voila..
took her to temple st. which i haven't been to for at least 5 years and i realise why [give me fah yuen any day] but hey it def. was a kind of [v. touristy kitch] novelty lol. i certainly don't remember all the sex shops but hey. serious respect though to all the gwai lo tourists eating at the dai pai dongs [sp?] around temple st. im not so sure i'd touch that seafood though..:S god though the night we went was SO humid and so skanky but nevertheless, fun:] bumped into lily at the peak and matt in temple st. and hannah was at temple st.at the same time as us though didnt bump into her... random! bumping into friends in the most touristy areas of hk..! haha
